Allison Pennington

Her education includes a Bachelor in Nursing Science from Carson-Newman College and a dual Master in Nursing Science and Nursing Education. She is double board-certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She was invited to join Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing, during her education and remains a member. 

Allison has over twenty years of clinical experience in nursing. She worked as a Cardiology nurse and ICU Nurse in East Tennessee. She has practiced as a Nurse Practitioner for over ten years, worked in Cardiology and the Hospitalist Team of Kings Daughters Medical Center, and most recently worked in the Cardiology Team at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. Her education and clinical background will allow her to evaluate and treat AIM Wellness patients to their greatest advantage. 

Here at AIM Wellness, Allison brings great enthusiasm to treatment for our patient population, which focuses on medical weight loss and bioidentical hormone replacement. She believes that holistic care, an approach that focuses on the whole person, is essential for well-being and utilizes this approach for herself and her family. Allison understands that there are sensitive health topics, such as weight gain and symptoms of hormone imbalance, that patients may not feel comfortable discussing. She works with her patients during these delicate and personal discussions to find an option to help them feel and be the healthiest they can. Allison is dedicated to providing the best care to the patients under her care. 

Away from the office Allison can be found at the various activities her daughter is involved in, she also enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
